RABQSA International recently released a new certification scheme for auditor certification of information security management systems (ISMS).Many organizations recognize the importance of their information assets, so they’re implementing information security management systems to identify and protect them systematically. ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 17799 pertain to information security management, and—along with industry-expert advice—were used to develop the new certification program.

The program is competency-based, and applicants will be required to demonstrate the defined knowledge, skills and personal attributes for the certification grade sought. Those who receive certification will be listed on the RABQSA International register, and will receive an ID card and certificate.
