The Standards Council of Canada recently approved an extension to the scope of TÜV America Inc.’s accreditation to include testing services for the safety of machinery. TÜV America’s scope is now among the most comprehensive, enabling the company to offer testing services for mechanical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety for products sold in Canada. This includes products in the following categories: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, measurement of electrical and magnetic quantities, noise emitted by machines and equipment, furnaces, lifting equipment, industrial trucks, earth-moving machinery, agricultural tractors and trailed vehicles, ventilation and air conditioning, and sports equipment.
