Nearly 70,000 people attended the International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) Telecom World conference last week in Hong Kong to discuss international standardization of telecommunications technologies, among other things.

The leading global organization for information and communication technology (ICT), ITU is active in the development of international standards for the telecommunications industry, including mobile telephony, internet-protocol television and wireless networks. The theme of the week-long conference was “Living the Digital World,” and included conferences, workshops and forums that examined all aspects of the international telecommunications industry.
