The American National Standards Institute will provide a “Standards Resource Guide” and the P3 Web portal for the Environmental Protection Agency’s 3rd annual P3 award competition.

ANSI is one of more than 40 industry, government and nongovernmental organizations helping to support the research and development of environmentally protective and economically competitive sustainable designs from 42 student teams.

P3 projects this year include using algae-produced biodiesel fuel to treat agricultural wastewater, the use of solar LED lanterns to replace kerosene lamps, the construction of sustainable houses after natural disasters and harnessing ocean wave energy to generate electricity.
