When a business succeeds, it’s largely because its board of directors has set a high-level vision for the company and provides its employees with the resources they need to make that vision a reality. Conversely, when a business fails, much of that failure could be assigned to its board of directors’ apparent lack of vision, failure to assign sufficient resources, or shoddy management. Clearly, effective boards of directors are integral to any business’ success.
