(APQO: Chicago) -- Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) recently announced the World Class Award winners of the International Asia Pacific Quality Awards.
The awards will be presented at the 16th APQO/International Conference on Quality in Kathmandu, Nepal, Sept. 18–20.

“We are pleased to announce that four organizations from Asia and the Pacific Rim are being recognized as exemplary companies of world-class quality performance,” says Charles Aubrey, chairman of APQO and the International Asia Pacific Quality Award executive committee. “They have achieved the International Asia Pacific Quality Award, which is modeled after the U.S. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.”
The following organizations have won the World Class Award, which is the highest decoration given:
Large manufacturing company: Larsen & Toubro Ltd.’s Electrical Standard Products Division, Maharashtra, India
Ajit Singh, vice president
Large service company: Dahanu Thermal Power Station, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd., Mumbai, India
C.V. Prasad Rao, vice president and station head
