The Focus Specialist optics are completely telecentric, yielding upright and reversed images that are crystal clear and undistorted on its large 16 in. (406 mm) diameter viewing screen. Its dedicated 5X magnification lens allows a full 3.2 in. of an inspected part to be seen at once, which is more than could be seen on a 30 in. comparator using a 10X lens. New eCAD allows a CAD model to present a virtual chart on the comparator screen. Using eCAD, virtual charts move with the part for semi-automatic inspection, virtually eliminating the need for traditional charts.
