(Extensible CAD Technologies: Raleigh, NC) -- Extensible CAD Technologies announces the release of their new version InspectionXpert for CATIA V5, which introduces support for 3-D models in addition to the 2-D drawings previously supported.

“Many of our InspectionXpert for CATIA customers have standardized exclusively on 3-D models throughout their design and manufacturing processes,” explains Jeffery Cope, president of Extensible CAD Technologies. “Adding the ability to balloon CATIA 3-D models is critical to streamlining our clients’ quality inspection processes.”

InspectionXpert for CATIA V5 is an inspection-report automation software that replaces the manual ballooning of CAD drawings and files, and the manual typing of dimensions into Excel for first-article inspection reports and in-process inspection reports. InspectionXpert for CATIA V5 is a Dassault Systemes Partner Product.

InspectionXpert is also available in versions that read PDF and TIFF files as well as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD, and Solid Edge drawings.
