(Creaform: Lévis, Québec) -- Creaform, a global leader in 3-D technology and digital solutions, has launched a challenge to show everyone that no 3-D project is impossible for its innovative technology and support. The company’s Put Us to the Test 2010 contest is open to private and public businesses, schools, and individuals that have a 3-D engineering project or idea they would like help with. One first-place winner will receive Can$20,000 worth of free project support from Creaform’s team of engineers. Second- and third-place winners will receive Can$2,000 in project help.

Contestants can submit project ideas online. The submission deadline is Oct. 1. Winners will be notified Oct. 10. Winning projects will be completed between Oct. 13 and Dec. 17.
Project submissions must make use one of the following technologies:
• 3-D scanning • Long-range scanning • Dimensional inspection • Reverse engineering • Design, conception, or the engineering of a project • Finite element analysis • Any combination of the expertise listed above
