(AMT: McLean, VA) -- September U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $399.76 million, according to the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (AMTDA) and the The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT). This total, as reported by companies participating in the United States Manufacturing Technology Consumption (USMTC) program, was up 66.1 percent from August and up 156.8 percent when compared with the total of $155.69 million reported for September 2009. With a year-to-date total of $2.09 billion, 2010 is up 74.1 percent compared with 2009.

These numbers and all data in this report are based on the totals of actual data reported by companies participating in the USMTC program.
