(PIQC: Lahore, Pakistan) -- The PIQC Institute of Quality (formerly Pakistan Institute of Quality Control) and the Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan (QPSP) jointly announce the 12th International Convention on Quality Improvement (ICQI 2011) and the 2nd Regional Conference of Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) to be held at the historical city of Lahore, Pakistan, on May 2–3, 2011. This is one of the premiere quality events of Pakistan. It attracts top-class speakers, specialists, academicians, and professionals from within the country and surrounding region.

Papers, presentations, and panel discussions provide valuable information, critical analysis, creative and practical ideas, breakthrough methodologies, and sharing of best practices by successful companies. It is one of the most beneficial and important events on quality for managers, professionals, and academicians as well as for stakeholders of quality in government and other sectors.
This year’s ICQI and ANQ theme is “Managing Quality, Competitiveness and Performance.” The current global recession and socioeconomic situation in Pakistan have challenged every organization and professional. We need to prepare ourselves for current and future changes by considering how best to face issues of quality under stress and difficult market conditions.
Conference objectives
• Promote quality culture in Pakistan
• Provide the latest information, analysis, and opinions of quality experts on best practices in total quality management and quality assurance

Abstracts and paper submissions
Submit abstracts or papers using conference submission web page and then follow the instructions. The last date to submit is Jan. 15, 2011. Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their papers by Jan 30. Papers can then be submitted up to April 1.
