(TÜV SÜD America: Peabody, MA) -- TÜV SÜD America Inc., a global inspection and certification services organization, has announced that its Industry Service division offers nondestructive testing (NDT) personnel-approval services in accordance with Europe’s Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and CE marking for vessels, pressurized storage containers, heat exchangers, steam generators, boilers, industrial piping, safety devices, and pressure accessories.

Acting as a recognized third-party organization according to Article 13 of the pressure equipment directive, TÜV SÜD ensures that NDT personnel who inspect welds on pressure equipment in category III and IV meet all the outlined requirements and have passed all theoretical and practical examinations.

Comprehensive services include testing by U.S.-based personnel of applicants through level III in their respective disciplines, using procedures described in the standard CEN TR 15589—“Nondestructive testing—Code of practice for the approval of NDT personnel by recognized third-party organizations.”
