A new partnership between Brooks Software and AssurX Inc. will allow the companies to target discrete manufacturers with a customized and fully-integrated quality management solution. Under the terms of the agreement, Brooks Software will resell AssurX’s CATSWeb non-conformance CAPA software, and use CATSWeb components in solutions for the discrete manufacturing marketplace. Brooks will make the CATSWeb system a strategic component of its Sense Decide Respond solution, enabling the enhanced suite to deliver an electronic device history record for regulated manufacturers, a comprehensive quality management application, and fully integrated real-time execution control linked with process and product quality management.
“Newly enacted federal regulations are driving discrete manufacturers to implement product and process tracking and traceability systems throughout their enterprise,” says Joe Bellini, Brooks Software senior vice president. “These systems must be highly adaptive and configurable to meet the unique requirements of each manufacturer. The integration of CATSWeb into the Brooks real-time manufacturing application suite provides real-time visibility, analysis and corrective action for potential quality issues on the manufacturing floor.”
Sal Lucido, AssurX vice president for product development, says he expects the partnership to lower costs for clients that use the enhanced software.
