(Gemba Academy: Morro Bay, CA) -- Gemba Academy, a provider of online lean manufacturing and lean enterprise training, announces a no-cost webinar on May 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. CDT, presented by Bob Emiliani, titled “The Leader’s Role in Lean Success.”

Emiliani will present two examples of companies that spent more than a decade applying lean principles and practices. He will analyze why one company succeeded and the other failed, with a focus on how the leaders from each company comprehended lean management and how that laid the foundation for the results achieved.

The lessons learned point the way to improving an organization’s lean management practice and achieving consistently better results in a business environment dominated by global competition.

Emiliani is a professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut, where he teaches courses on lean leadership, lean supply-chain management, failure analysis of management decisions, and research methods.
