Superscan will be seen by millions of visitors in museums throughout the world, and was created to stimulate interest in the science, technology, engineering, and manufacturing (STEM) fields for anyone who interacts with it. “This exhibit is a great way to expose future engineering leaders to the latest in advanced, 3D innovation,” says FARO CEO Jay Freeland. “By lending our name and technology to this effort, FARO will help show students that STEM careers are important, but fun and interesting, too.”
SuperScan is organized by Science Visualization, co-founded in 2010 by Christopher Sloan, a former senior editor and director of mission projects for National Geographic magazine, and Christina Elson, a former National Geographic magazine archaeologist.
