“We are extremely happy with our performance in the first half of the year,” says Creaform CEO Martin Lamontagne. “If the trend continues into H2, we will be largely exceeding our ambitious $52.5 million sales objective for 2013. We have invested a lot of resources into developing a broad portfolio of portable and accurate measurement technologies that enable QC inspectors to take measurements right on the shop floor, and all indicates that our efforts are paying off.
“Last May, we have launched the MetraSCAN-R robot-mounted 3D scanner for automated inspection,” adds Lamontagne. “The scanner has raised the interest of several major manufacturers, and we are expecting that to translate into sales during the second half of the year.”
Technology sales figures
The Handyscan 3D scanners, which stand as the only truly portable metrology-grade scanners on the market, show great figures with a year-over-year growth of 32 percent compared to 2012.
