(NIST: Gaithersburg, MD) -- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) is currently developing a Legal Metrology Publication Series: SP 2200 to provide stakeholders with current information on the status and development of U.S. and international legal metrology issues. The SP 2200 series will also include a range of reports on OWM technical activities, guidance, training, and recommended best practices.

NIST has also announced the most recently published NIST SP 2200 (SP 2200-02), which describes the 2022 NIST Summary of U.S. Legal Metrology Activities conducted over last year. The summary will be published annually and serve as a central repository and citable source of U.S. legal metrology and weights and measures programs and meeting synopses (including NCWM), relevant technical activity and working group summaries, and other inclusive information that may be relevant to partners, customers, and U.S. and international stakeholders.
