(Configit: Copenhagen, Denmark) -- Configit, a global leader in configuration life cycle management (CLM), has released Configit Ace 7 and Quote 13. Configit Ace 7 is designed and optimized for SaaS deployment with new significant capabilities that are only available to SaaS customers, while Configit Quote 13 enables customers to provide error-free quotations for highly complex, multihierarchy system solutions.

Configit Ace provides CLM-as-a-service, a SaaS solution for enterprisewide management of product variants and configurations throughout the product portfolio’s life cycle. Configit Quote adds customizable configure-price-quote (CPQ) capabilities for the most complex products. Based on open services and APIs leveraging the power of Microsoft Azure, CLM-as-a-service establishes a shared source of truth for product configuration data accessible to any user anytime, anywhere.
Configit Ace 7 introduces two new major capabilities
Configit Ace Thread: This capability is a new, hosted repository for saving and retrieving all configurations made by users from multiple front-end applications. The saved configuration information captures the entire life cycle from as-designed to as-configured and, ultimately, as-built and as-serviced. This provides a digital configuration thread for configurable products, enabling manufacturers to understand the attractiveness of configurable options better. It quickly identifies delivered configurations affected by changes or supply-chain shocks, and enables more effective service and maintenance in the field.
Configit Ace Configurator: This SaaS-based, multitenant product configurator application allows customers to build a product configurator in minutes by simply providing the location of the already compiled product model. They choose the layout theme and other options to create a fully functional product configurator. They can extract value from product models immediately rather than waiting months for a custom-developed application. Configit Ace Configurator can be launched stand-alone or embedded in CPQ or Salesforce front-end as an external configurator.
Configit is also introducing the new Configit Lab initiative, formed as an innovation center for exploring groundbreaking solutions for next-generation CLM. Its first focus will be generative AI-enhanced CLM, with an emphasis on reducing the time it takes to create complex product models. The Configit Co-Pilot is designed to help modelers significantly reduce the time to build new product models and rules.
Damantha Boteju, chief product and technology officer at Configit, says, “With CLM-as-a-service, Configit provides a complete end-to-end solution, enabling customers to implement a CLM approach linking product configuration information from engineering to manufacturing, sales, and service. Now, we’re enhancing this with the power of generative AI to help our customers reduce time and effort to create complex product models. This is part of our continued work to provide our customers with superior configuration technology to meet the increasing needs of their customers.”
