Leading manufacturing principles are no longer for manufacturing processes alone, according to executives from a variety of service industries using lean principles to dramatically improve administrative, professional and service value streams. The Lean Enterprise Institute will host a summit June 8–10 to discuss this trend and to share success stories and best practices for the use of lean in the service industry. The conference will be held at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport and will feature a keynote address by James Womack, LEI founder.
The workshop will feature executives and managers from the health care, retail, insurance, military, maintenance and manufacturing sectors, who will reveal results and offer practical tips for applying lean principles to nonproduction value streams. Summit highlights include:
