QMI recently opened two new U.S. offices and appointed a new business development manager in its Guangzhou, China, office. The management systems registration company opened new offices in Ypsilanti, Michigan and in Houston. Demo Stavros is the new business development manager at the Michigan office and Mike White is the account executive at the Texas office. Yong Shao, formerly an ISO/TS 16949 lead auditor for QMI, was named as the business development manager at the China office.

Stavros has more than 20 years of experience in management, accreditation and certification of manufacturing and distribution quality systems. He has designed and implemented ISO 9001 and QS-9000 systems for more than 1,000 sites throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

White is a former Baldrige Award examiner for Nortel Networks. He was most recently a regional manager and lead assessor for Quality Certification Bureau, which was newly acquired by QMI.

Shao graduated from the Southeast University of China and has received additional quality management education in Germany. He has 10 years of experience in the quality registration field.
