The Trends and Applications in Calibration and Testing Laboratories Conference will be held Nov. 14–16, 2006, in Tel Aviv, Israel.The event will be held in conjunction with the 16th International Conference of the Israel Society for Quality. Conference organizers estimate that 1,500–2,000 professionals will attend the quality conference, giving metrologists and quality professionals a unique networking opportunity.

The conference is being organized by the National Conference of Standard Laboratories, the Cooperation on International Traceability in Analytical Chemistry and the Israeli Metrological Society. Topics to be addressed include trends in metrology, metrology as a business, measuring methods and their validation, legal metrology, ethical problems in metrology, conformity assessment, education, and metrology in chemistry, petrochemistry and pharmaceuticals.
