An upcoming conference will focus on the use of Six Sigma in the services and transactional sectors.

The 2nd annual Six Sigma in Services and Transactional Environments Summit will be held Oct. 20–21 in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is sponsored by WCBF, which reports that last year’s event sold out. The conference will feature an executive roundtable for leads and senior executives, as well as new user and advanced use forums. Function-specific case studies examining Six Sigma applications in human resources, information technology, finance and accounting, and sales and marketing will be presented, and there will be preconference workshops on Oct. 19 to complement the summit.
