The second-annual Six Sigma Gulf Summit 2005 will be held on Dec. 5–7 at the Bahrain Conference Centre.The event, which is sponsored by the Juran Institute Inc., will feature a keynote speech from Joseph A. De Feo, Juran Institute president and CEO. He will present an executive briefing on Six Sigma and guide the audience step-by-step through a series of management concepts and practices to achieve near-perfection in business processes.

De Feo will also present a case study of Telefonica Spain’s successful Six Sigma implementation. The organization has a 100-million customer base and more than 173,000 employees in Latin America.

Other case studies to be presented include Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Dubai Cables Co. The summit will be followed by a two-day Six Sigma Champion workshop, which will be held Dec. 6–7.
