The U.S. Navy recently contracted a small Connecticut business to provide upward of $96 million worth of Six Sigma, theory of constraints and lean training within the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE). The training is part of the NAE’s Enterprise AIRSpeed program, an enterprise level, systems approach to aviation maintenance and supply. It’s designed to produce the right readiness at the lowest price across the NAE. AGI has teamed with Dynamics Research Corp., Coalition Solutions Integrated Inc. and independent contractor Laurin P. Eck to deliver the training.
The effort will include the design, deployment and sustainment of 71 Navy sites to include intermediate maintenance activities, organizational maintenance activities, aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. It also includes applying the productivity and cost-conscious mentality of Enterprise AIRSpeed to the design of a new aircraft carrier and the Marine Aviation Logistics Support Program II.
