The Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has ruled that several Web addresses violate the trademark rules of the International Organization for Standardization. Announcing that they could mislead people into buying products or services that they believe are endorsed or affiliated with ISO, WIPO transferred the following domain names to ISO: iso1stop.com, iso9000commerce.com, isoeasy.com, isoeasy.org, isoeasy.info, isonet.net, and isotraining.net.
ISO strictly prohibits the use of its logo on marketing materials. As a standards developer, ISO doesn’t endorse or promote any particular training agency or accreditation provider, and strictly forbids agencies from implying that they’re in any way endorsed or affiliated with it.
