Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International will host a lean seminar in May in Nashville, Tennessee.“Practical Lean: Lean Manufacturing for Smaller and Mid-Sized Operations” will be held May 8–9 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel. It will offer interactive training in lean manufacturing implementation.
Most lean training focuses on companies that are essentially assemblers and integrators of high-volume, standard products with relatively low variation. However, the vast majority of manufacturers don’t fit this description. The practical lean approach brings the benefits of lean manufacturing to smaller and mid-sized manufacturers without massive investments in time, money and personnel.
The seminar will address the core elements of lean and Six Sigma, the root causes of lean failures and the critical characteristics of successful lean initiatives. For more information, visit www.fmanet.org.
