The Society of Manufacturing Engineers will host the Productivity & Lean Integration for Plastics Manufacturing conference June 20–21 in Chicago. The conference will be part of the National Plastics Exposition 2006 show, which will be held June 19–23 at McCormick Place. A new educational partner for NPE, SME was invited to provide an executive/manufacturing management program to complement other educational programming at the exposition. Featured topics include product design analysis, injection mold process monitoring and control, hot runner technology, overmolding/multimaterial molding, in-mold coating, faster mold building through the use of standardized components, lean manufacturing management overview and direct digital manufacturing.
