The American National Standards Institute will host its 2006 Annual Conference on Oct. 11 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.
Carlos Gutierrez, Department of Commerce secretary, will deliver the keynote address, focusing on how standards enhance trade and play a vital role in economic competitiveness. Conference panels will bring together leaders from some of the country’s most innovative companies to discuss how standards and conformity assessment programs support the global marketplace, address ways in which standards are improving health care and examine new advances in nanotechnology.
