The president and executive coach of the Juran Institute, Joe DeFeo, recently received the 2006 North East Quality Council Special Recognition Award.

The award is presented to professionals from the Northeast who have made significant contributions to the quality and business communities throughout the world. The organization has been in existence for 58 years and DeFeo is the third recipient of the award. The first recipient was Joseph Juran, who was recognized in 2002.

DeFeo specializes in consulting in enterprise assurance, quality management, Six Sigma, lean, strategic quality planning and business process improvement.
