(Reno, Nevada) -- Think you have an interesting metrology project or issue that would make a good presentation? Write it up and get it to the Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference organizations, who are accepting presentation proposals for the CMSC’s annual conference until April 10. The CMSC will be held July 16–20 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, and is the only North American conference catering solely to professionals using portable 3-D coordinate measurement technology on their factory floors. The open, educational atmosphere allows attendees to network with a community of expert and novice users, and learn about the latest trends and innovations in the field of portable 3-D industrial measurement technologies.

Expert white paper presentations, workshops, standards seminars, and user group meetings comprise only a part of this professional venue where ideas, concepts, and theory flow freely amongst participants. CMSC 2007 will also feature an exhibitor hall showcasing portable measurement systems (PCMM), software, accessories, peripherals, inspection and measurement service providers who serve the needs of the industrial measurement marketplace. PCMM technology exhibited at the conference includes industrial photogrammetry solutions, laser trackers, laser radars, GPS systems, laser scanners, laser projection systems, articulating arms, theodolites and more. More than forty exhibitors participated at last year’s conference.

Abstracts should be submitted no later than April 10 to presentations@cmsc.org. The deadline for full technical papers is May 11, 2007. Notice of acceptance will occur on May 23, 2007. Last year’s presentations were delivered by industry leaders from NASA, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, The Boeing Co., Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, BAE Systems, General Dynamics C4 Systems and more. Conference attendees hail from science/research laboratories, and diverse industries such as aerospace, space hardware, antenna, automotive, shipbuilding, power generation, and general engineering.
