(OSHA: New York) -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is requesting public comment on proposed information collection requirements for the Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP).
Established in 1982 to promote cooperation among government, industry, and labor in the area of employee protection, the VPP recognizes effective worksite-based safety and health management systems.Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health. To earn and maintain VPP approval, participants must apply for entry into the program and undergo annual evaluations that indicate adherence to ongoing procedural enhancements and requirements.
