(Coordinate Metrology Society: Concord, North Carolina) -- The Coordinate Metrology Society, a membership association for measurement professionals, will host its 24th Annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) 2008 from July 21–25, 2008 at the new Embassy Suites overlooking Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, the heart of NASCAR country.

The five-day event is designed to serve professional and novice users of portable 3-D coordinate measurement technology. The conference is comprised of presentations of white papers by expert users from leading companies and universities, informative workshops, and user group meetings. A large exhibition hall will showcase portable coordinate measurement systems (PCMMs), software, accessories, peripherals, and inspection and measurement service providers. The Coordinate Metrology Society will also host a membership banquet and entertainment, and an educational tour of the local area during the week.
