(Indicate Technologies: Santa Clara, CA) -- Indicate Technologies Inc. is partnering with Optical Gaging Products and the International Institute of GD&T to present a seminar series, Precision GD&T: Introduction & Fundamental Principles, which explores the implications of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as it applies to all manufacturing and design disciplines. The seminar series is scheduled for Oct. 19–20 at Indicate Technologies in Santa Clara, California.
Customers face increasing demands for highly sophisticated mechanical parts and assemblies at lower cost. It is important to understand how mechanical designers define tolerances and the implications to manufacturing and metrology. Participants in this seminar will gain critical insight from both technical and management perspectives that will allow them to intelligently balance design complexity and cost pressures. Greg Hetland, president of the International Institute of GD&T, and a recognized leader in GD&T and uncertainty measurement, will be leading the seminar.
This fundamental course is for those who must read and interpret engineering drawings and who want to develop or improve their understanding of the basics of measurement tools, geometric symbology, and engineering drawing interpretation as applied per ASME Y14.5M1994.
