(TCIE: Buffalo, NY) -- The University at Buffalo’s Center for Industrial Effectiveness is pleased to announce its next Black Belt training class. The Black Belt certification training will be delivered by Thom Marra, TCIE’s Master Black Belt instructor. Course deliverables include facilitation, training, and learning via workshops and breakout groups for attending industry professionals seeking Black Belt certification.
The Black Belt certification process spans five months and consists of five training phases covering define, measure, analyze, improve, control (DMAIC) for a total of 200 instructional hours. Classroom-based instruction takes place one week per month, with approximately one month between each instructional week to allow candidates to return to their respective companies and apply the tools and methodologies learned. Typically, there is time reserved each Friday to discuss Black Belt projects.
