Having been in the Quality game for more years that it takes to grow a decent sized Oak tree, having considerable experence in most parts of the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Engineering and Consumer Product industries together with an in depth knowledge and understanding of quality standards and their intent, I find myself being looked upon as the guy that knows all about "QA and stuff". With this comes a great expectation that I will offer good advice and support to those who have not been fortunate enough to have a career in Quality and who lack the knowledge and foresight required to see the bigger picture and the numerous benefits that properly applied quality assurance management principles can yield.

I believe that well designed, implemented and managed systems are vital for any company wishing to gain full potential from the people and processes, the proof is out there and theres a lot of it! The days of having a quality management system in place "because that is what the customer wants" are well and truly over as far as im concerned and we now have to concentrate on getting things right for our own reasons, for improved business operations, for increased profit, for reduced waste and increased savings.......the list could continue on and on..... and invariably does; never a dull day in my world.
