Nick Butch received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, San Diego in 2008. He held postdoctoral appointments at the University of Maryland and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory before joining the NIST Center for Neutron Research in 2013. He is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland.
