Climate legislation can be deplored but not ignored

We humans take a fairly long time to reach adulthood compared to many other species. Biologists say that’s because much of what we need to know to survive isn’t etched in our DNA, but something we must learn. We’re not programmed to buy the most suitable house the way a robin can find a secure branch and fashion a bowl made of twigs. Learned behavior, we’re given to understand, is an advantage because it helps us to reason subtly and deal with complex problems.

Fair enough, especially when considered theoretically and applied to a textbook human. But none of us are perfect, and sometimes biologists must defer to physicists when trying to make sense of our often problematic species. One of the best justifications I know of for illogical human behavior is the classic definition of entropy: the amount of energy unavailable for useful work in a system undergoing change. We may have the power of reason, but we don’t always—can’t always—use it efficiently.

Climate Change scam

When will alarmists like Taran wake up to the Man caused climate change scam ? There is not a single piece of hard evidence that man's CO2 has caused warming. Anyone who claims there is should provide a page and paragraph reference in the latest IPCC report to it. Good luck ... there is no evidence at all ! There is nothing other than a selection of models based on unsupported theory that CO2 causes positive atmospheric feedbacks ... of course the data indicates the opposite.

The world is slowly starting to wake up to the nonsense. Even Phil Jones, head of the CRU at the centre of the ClimateGate scadal now admits there has been no global warming for 15 years. Taran claims "Carbon markets are up and running" ... Gore's and Pachauri's (the railway engineer who heads up the IPCC) carbon exchange has flatlined this year http://www.chicagoclimatex.com/.

Taran mentions GE. Perhaps she should consider why GE is one of the strongest supports of Cap & Trade. GE supports the scam because they are one of the world's largest suppliers of windmills and nuclear power stations. They along with scammers like Gore, who has made over $100,000,000 from the scams and Pachauri who has made even more, obviously have the naive Taran well conned !

Facts?

This type of discourse is the reason so many of us are frustrated by these types of articles, speeches, editorials, whatever. You state "the facts are there" then list a whole litany of organizations working on this "fact" of "climate change" (used to be "global warming"...). But the facts aren't there! Even as a scientist, the data are confusing, and made worse by people cooking the books; lots of good questions, yes, but fact, sorry, not as yet.
