The International Six Sigma Institute and Secret Society for Influential Professionals of Process Improvement (ISSISSIPPI, pronounced “eye-ss-eye-ss-eye-pp-eye) today announced its roster of football recruits for the 2013 season. April 1st: April fool?
I wish not so. Although I'm notoriously not fond of 6 Sigma, I wish this initiative all the success it deserves. I commented many times that CV's are far from being effective personnel evaluation criteria - it's not the winner who takes all, it's "paper". But, at the same time, and I speak based on my own experience, I still have to meet with really effective methods to evaluate and select people: it is still all left to trial and error. In spite of all the "psycho's" surrounding us. May be the "psycho's" themselves have to be evaluated and selected in advance ...
