Are we born math-phobiacs or are we GROWN math-phobiacs? I hate Arythmetics but I love Algebra. We all use numbers anytime, anywhere, it's just so; but we don't allow ourselves to use different "thinking tools": Mr. De Bono's "Lateral Thinking" is a first example. The Business Score-cards shown at top management's meetings are surely "numbers": but numbers are - as a likely Mr. ISO would say - both input to and output of processes. The question being: what are the processes? Do we really know - and, maybe, control - them? We are math-phobiacs because we are result-maniacs; and we are systematically grown up to measure results via numbers, therefore maths. The smart one who will write a book on how to numerically measure happiness will make a best-seller of it. Thank you.
