Understanding Variation
Unless your software and your people learn how to separate "Common Causes" from "Special Causes" and have a good understanding of how to interprent and properly react to those two flavors of variation you may be doing more harm than good by "reacting" quicker to whatever real or imaginary problems exist. To paraphase Dr. Deming: Stop tampering with stable processes.
